Our myBoardinghouses are located in various locations, including Peißen, Alsdorf, Herzogenrath, Aachen, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Halle an der Saale, and more. Each house offers first-class accommodations in attractive locations.
What amenities do the apartments offer?
Our apartments are fully furnished and offer amenities such as free Wi-Fi, SMART TVs, fully equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms. Towels and bed linens are provided in the apartments upon move-in.
How do I book an apartment
Booking an apartment is easy and convenient through our website. You can also inquire by phone or email. Fill out the booking form on the website, select your desired location and duration, and follow the instructions. You will receive a response within 24 hours on weekdays.
Are there minimum stay requirements?
The minimum stay at most locations is one month. Please contact our rental team for more information.
Is there a maximum rental period?
There is no maximum rental period; you can rent the apartment indefinitely.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed for hygiene reasons.
How is cleaning managed?
An end-of-stay cleaning is mandatory and chargeable. Our apartments can be cleaned weekly, twice a month, or monthly by our team if you sign a service contract. The cleaning service includes apartment cleaning, bed linen, and towel changes. Details on cleaning intervals and costs can be found in the respective location information.
Are there discounts for long-term rentals?
Generally, we do not offer discounts for long-term rentals.
Are there discounts for corporate rentals?
Yes, myBoardinghouse offers special discounts and packages for corporate rentals. Please contact our booking team for a tailored offer for your company.
When will I receive a response to my booking inquiry?
You will receive a response to your booking inquiry within 24 hours on weekdays.
How quickly can I move in?
You can move in as early as the next day, provided the contracts are signed and the first rent payment has been received.
What is the booking process?
After your inquiry, we check the availability of the desired apartment. If available, you will receive an email from us with the following documents:
- Rental agreement
- Cleaning contract
- Data protection information
For fixed-term leases: termination of the lease on the desired move-out date
Additionally, we require:
- For private individuals: 3 pay stubs, current employment contract, or credit report (Schufa)
- For low-income tenants: guarantor
Please sign the mentioned documents and return them to us by email. After positive verification of your documents, we will counter-sign the contracts and send them back to you. Your apartment is now booked. Please transfer the first month's rent. Before your move-in, we will send you an individual access code via email, which will be delivered at the earliest 2 working days and at the latest 1 working day before your move-in.
What requirements must I meet to rent?
You should be actively employed and have a clean credit report (Schufa). Students must provide a guarantor or blocked account.
Can I rent as a non-German citizen?
Of course, the same rules apply to everyone.
Do you speak English?
Yes, our rental team speaks English.
Why are different prices offered than on the website?
Not every apartment is the same size and equipped. The most common apartments are listed on our website to give you an overview of the pricing.
Do I have to pay utility costs?
No, everything is included in the all-inclusive rent. You do not have to pay utility costs separately.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Through our code-based access program, you can enter your apartment at any time from the start of the rental period. You can check-in and check-out whenever you like.
What should I do if I have problems during my stay?
Our customer service team is always available to help. You can reach us by phone or email in case of problems or concerns. The contact details can be found on our website or in the documents sent to you.
Does myBoardinghouse offer business travel packages?
Yes, myBoardinghouse is ideal for business travelers. Contact us for more information.
Can I get an invoice for my stay?
No, we only rent for residential purposes. The rental agreement serves as the invoice and can be used for your records.
Is there a laundry room?
Yes, there is a laundry room in each myBoardinghouse. Washing and drying are possible for a fee. The WeWash app makes it as easy as possible. Download the app on your phone and book your slot for washing and drying. You will be notified when your laundry is done. Payment is made directly through the app.
Are there electric charging stations?
Unfortunately, there is currently no option to charge electric cars with us. However, we are working on providing such facilities in the future.
Is there a bicycle storage room?
Yes, there is a bicycle storage room in each of our houses where you can safely store your bicycle.
Is there Wi-Fi in the apartment?
The myBoardinghouse houses are equipped with sufficient internet. Therefore, you have internet in your apartment. However, the internet connection is not designed to support intensive, professional activities such as home office or large data transfers. Wi-Fi is included, and the password can be found in the folder in your apartment.
Is there a telephone in the apartment?
There is a telephone in every myBoardinghouse apartment.
Can I smoke in my furnished apartment?
No, smoking is prohibited in myBoardinghouse apartments and common areas. A tenant who smokes in an apartment violates the house rules and can be terminated without notice. Cleaning costs will increase due to smoke odor and will be charged.
Can I invite a guest?
Generally, the apartments are designed for one person, except in certain cases. However, you can invite guests for short periods. Please inform us in advance for longer stays of your guests.
Do I have to pay the broadcasting fee (GEZ)?
Yes, if you register with the city. Otherwise, if you do not register, you do not have to pay GEZ fees.
Do I have to register with the city?
If you have another residence, registration with the city is not required. If myBoardinghouse becomes your main residence, you must register with the city.
Can I receive mail in my furnished apartment?
You will receive a mailbox key matching your mailbox compartment, and you can label your mailbox yourself. Please also provide your apartment number for orders.
